Description
Research use only
Thymosin Alpha-1 (Tα1) is a synthetic 28–amino acid peptide isolated initially from thymic tissue. It has been studied for its ability to modulate the immune system by enhancing T-cell differentiation, promoting cytokine production, and supporting innate and adaptive immunity. Preclinical studies highlight its role in antiviral defense, tumor immunology, and vaccine response. It is also explored for its protective effects in sepsis and immune dysfunction, making it a valuable peptide for immunology research.
Supplied as a lyophilized powder in vials (5 mg). Store at –20 °C, protected from light and moisture. After reconstitution with sterile water or buffer, aliquot and store at 2–8 °C for short-term use or –20 °C for long-term storage. Avoid multiple freeze–thaw cycles.
